SUPERFRONT is currently seeking applications for internships. Interns are a vital part of SUPERFRONT. SUPERFRONT’s internship opportunities are based on our programming and needs and are assigned to candidates with the appropriate skills, attitude and interests.
All of SUPERFRONT’s internships will be located in New York. Young professionals, recent graduates, or college students who have an interest in architecture, art, design-built, urban planning, community development, public art, nonprofit management, public relations, development, and marketing are encouraged to apply. Internships are unpaid. IDP Credit via NCARB is available. We request a minimum contribution of 10-15 hours per week with the opportunity to work flexibly and independently between April and August.
Interns will work closely with the Program Director to develop large-scale public projects including exhibitions, events, design competitions, and dynamic public programming. Interns are exposed to the full spectrum of the organizations operations and will receive instruction and training from our staff and Board of Directors. SUPERFRONT is eager to mentor students and young professionals with strong design, research, writing and organizational sensibilities.
Interested applicants should email a cover letter, resume, and work sample as a single pdf under 5MB to firstname.lastname@example.org with “SUPERFRONT Internship” in the subject line. Due to the volume of receipts, only qualified applicants will be contacted.
SUPERFRONT is always looking for creative designers, architects, fabricators, artists, and administrators to support our work. Our projects wouldn’t exist without support from dedicated volunteers.
To learn more about the volunteer opportunities above or to propose your own ideas to support SUPERFRONT’s design work, contact us with your name, email, phone number and availability. We will work with you to accommodate your schedule and interests.
